In and out of the hospital, losing her grandma-her best friend, getting married, having autoimmune flare ups constantly, and experiencing a cancer scare which lead to a surgery just recently Jennifer Kennedy has had a ROUGH last year 💔😰! (Sugar has been proven to be more addictive than 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙣, y’all. 😳 ) 2. You can still lose weight! If you gained it fast you can lose it fast because it’s probably excess salt and water retention! 3. Reflect on what happened. Make a list of all the food you feel you overate or binged. Seeing “chocolate covered popcorn” on paper makes you realize you’re due for a veggie! 🥗 4. That feeling you get when you complete a program. And it’s a program that pushes you physically and mentally. This is my second time completing 6 weeks of The Work and in some ways it was harder the second time than the first. For starters, I knew what was coming at me and so there was a different mental tear up. Physically, I pushed myself to keep up with the rep count more this time than last. And I did. I took less breaks. I got those reps in. . And now, I’m looking forward to switching programs and going back to another one that I haven’t done in almost a year. I’ll be losing the weights and kicking up the cardio intensity. . It’s 8:23 am on a Saturday and this is where I’m starting my day At my dining room table, in my pjs, with my babies playing by my side, and my hubs snuggled up on the couch. 🥰❤️ Im not rushing into the hospital at 6 am after not getting the best sleep last night. I’m not working for anyone else. I’m not stressed about leaving my babies at home. I’m not starting my day in chaos but being grounded in my mindset and positivity right off the bat. Having this opportunity to work from home, set my own schedule, not having to work weekends because I HAVE to but because I WANT to, and doing something that gives me more purpose as a momma is something I’m never going to take for granted ❤️ I can’t imagine what life would be like if I wouldn’t have said yes to an opportunity I didn’t even think I’d need.

I put it away and tried my hardest to forget it even existed. . . I took the one on the right just last week. I’ve been really down on myself lately because I’m struggling to stick to any sort of meal plan. That’s always been my downfall. I emotionally eat like it’s going out of style (yes, I’m working on it ). . . My point is, it’s important to take pictures along the way. Being able to SEE progress is so important! How are you ever going to get past the rough patches if you can’t look back and see how far you’ve come? 🖤
𝗪𝐡𝐲 𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐦𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞... In the beginning, it was an obsession. I’d wake up, strip naked and hop on the scale. If the number went down, that would make my entire day, I’d be happy, be more patient, loving and kind to myself and others. But boy...if the numbers went up🤬 Lord Jesus have Mercy-that number had so much power over me. I’d be thinking about it all day, I’d be searching for quick ways to bring that number down, I’d be sad, disappointed and so defeated. Until-I finish one of the programs from my Netflix for Fitness library and was prohibited from stepping on the scale for a total of 80 days. I went through a withdraw y’all 🤣 Seriously, I had to hide the dang scale deep inside the closet. And here’s what I noticed at the end of those 80 days... Though I only lost 5lbs and 5 inches I gained so much freedom, peace, self control and confidence. 🥰To track my progress I now take pictures and measurements to compare at the end of each program and I don’t even feel the need to step on the scale anymore. When I decided to stay home from my nursing job to be home with my boys I instantly started thinking about $$$ 🤯😳and losing my full time nursing income. then I panicked a little. Yes my spouse has an amazing job but income and money always seemed to be a stressor when I was growing up... And I didn’t want that to be the same case for my family and let’s be real going from a full time nursing income to well, staying home and not making anything at first I felt guilty. I also wanted to be able to dream and think about family vacations and savings and doing fun things with my kiddos that I may have had to sacrifice IF I wouldn’t have decided to dive into my coaching business! What I do is not easy, but it IS SIMPLE. I take care of myself through natural exercise and daily nutrition and I fill my mind with positivity and personal development then I get to invite others alongside me. And I want to help and teach other women how to build their OWN business by first taking care of them and getting healthy along the way!

Looking good mama! You don’t have to enjoy the moment every second of the day - but the trenches you feel you are in right now - you will get through it! Eventually they will sleep. Eventually they will be 🚽 trained. Eventually they won’t need you to open a snack for them 100 times a day. Eventually you might actually make a complete sentence without interruption. And also that’s what eye cream is for.
Transformation Tuesday - Tell me your favorite body part! . Sounds simple enough to tell me your favorite body part, but when you are unhappy with your body this question is torture. You stop and really have to think. Do I have to answer? Can I just say eyes? . Ask me this question now and I still stop to think. Not because I hate my body but because I feel so much better about myself that I have to think what part I want to pick as there are many. . But today, that answer is my back. See that top photo is me in June 2018 on a family trip. My husband shot this picture of my oldest and I trying out balancing rocks for the first time. I saw this photo and cringed and wanted to cry. Those back rolls bothered me so much that I didn’t even see this mother/daughter bonding moment and the reason for the picture!! It was this picture (and others from this trip ) that finally had me saying I need to make a change. . Fast forward a year and a half and I have put in the time and sweat. And now, those pictures of my back don’t upset me. My back is strong and muscular and those rolls are gone. . It’s seeing these pictures and the transformation between them that still keeps me motivated to get that workout in. Still making time for priorities & focusing on yourself is such a hard routine to get into among the chaos, but we can only give your best to others when we treat ourselves right! I for one, do not believe in New Year's Resolutions because if you're going to stick to something, make it your number one priority year round! The thing with "lifting weights" it doesn't take seconds and minutes, it takes years and years of consistency and dedication. When you don't see the results or feel any different, everyday you feel like giving up or what's the point. We all want to be bigger or better ourselves in some way. When you think negative, you will become negative. I am one to talk, as I feel like I'm the most negative person, but nobody is perfect & we all see flaws in ourselves everyday. The only thing you can give yourself is a positive mindset & to take each day by day. When you're trying to be healthy or eating well, or working on any specific goals...it's okay to have faults or slipups, as we are only human. One of my very very first half marathon was 7 years ago!! 😳😳😳 I remember exactly how I felt, I remember thinking I’m so freaking scared! I mean will I even finish this thing? What if I don’t make it?! Like literally what if I die?! Lol 😂 worse yet what if I crap 💩 myself because I am soooooo nervous right now! Lol I finished that race that day. I was exhausted yet I was soooo full of excitement and energy and ready to do more!! I feel like this is similar to ANYTHING we do that’s brand new. We are scared, we are nervous of failure, we’re nervous we won’t make it or we won’t succeed! BUT if we just keep working at it, if we just show up, if we just freaking START! And thennnn we DO finish and we do reach our goal... we feel like a freaking rockstar! Our confidence is through the roof!! This same fear of failure is what I went through when I began my coaching business and it’s the same fear I help a LOT of my new clients and new coaches get through when they first begin their own journeys... guess what? 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 Anyone else over-do it a tad on holiday treats and drinks?? Time for a little cleanse, but the sugar cravings are still holding on?? 😵 👉I’m here for you. This time of year used to be the WORST for me because I was piling on guilt and shame for all the fun I’d had in November and December. ❌Enough of that! Don’t let a few weeks decide the rest of your year! Changing my mindset felt like a weight got lifted off me. (And not the good kind ). I cultivated a healthier relationship with food. ✌️ No more pasty-white depressed girl punishing herself on the treadmill every day in January… This girl gets back on the fitness train every day ℕ𝕆 𝕄𝔸𝕋𝕋𝔼ℝ 𝕎ℍ𝔸𝕋 ℍ𝔸ℙℙ𝔼ℕ𝔼𝔻 (maybe slaps on some fake tanner cause you do you, boo ), and have some BOMB recipes to save her when the cravings hit! This year... I'm FULL of ♥️ in my heart, in my soul, and hustle in my step. . But I didn't always feel this way.
