Pictured here is one of my favorite meals. I love me a good 🌮 bowl and with all the beans and rice it can get up there in calories, so here is my hack. . . 🌮 lettuce 🥬 as a base. . . 🌮 organic lean ground turkey as protein. Feel free to omit or substitute with your fav protein. . . 🌮 tomatoes 🍅 cucumbers 🥒. Add any veggies you like!. . . 🌮 cheese on top- omit if you need to. . . Read on!. . . . # My view of pharmaceuticals changed when the birth control pill “broke” my already dysfunctional digestive system. # If someone had only warned me that it could have such devastating physical and psychological side effects, I would have stoped it sooner. Instead I thought something was wrong with me and went on anti depressants. # After starting the pill my IBS-C symptoms got worse, I gained weight and got really sluggish and depressed. My health spiraled downward from there. # Obviously the birth control pill prevents pregnancy, but there are natural alternatives for regulating your cycle. # Like seed cycling. You eat 1-2 tablespoons each of ground pumpkin seeds and flax seeds everyday for the first two weeks of your cycle and then switch to 1-2 tablespoons of ground sesame and sunflower seeds. That’s it. # This helps balance hormones like estrogen & progesterone during both phases of your cycle. It is a great tool for women who are coming off the pill. # It may not be enough on its own to ease the symptoms of painful periods but coupled with liver support plus stabilizing blood sugar, it can be extremely effective. And no side effects. Yay! # As I’ve mentioned many times here, sunflower and pumpkin seeds do the double duty of also killing parasites. # Seeds contain fiber, essential fatty acids and minerals like zinc and selenium. The birth control pill can cause candida and rob your body of vitamins like B12, B2, folate, B6, C & E. Many of these nutrients support mood, energy and immunity. # I’m not telling anyone to get off the pill. That’s a personal decision. Somewhere that collects dusts, buried deep under piles of thoughts, insecurities, distractions, excuses. Somewhere that no one else will see...you’re way too courteous a host to invite someone over when your room is a hot mess, amiright?! - The longer we hold onto them, the deeper they are buried, the more powerful they become. Overtime, our limiting beliefs melt right into our environment. They become a part of our framework, our (self ) view. We don’t even notice they’re there anymore. But there they are...and they govern everything you do and don’t. - If this resonates with you 🙋🏽♀️, it’s high time for a personal intervention. A deep clean. Even avocados 🥑 have issues! 😂 Do you love 🥑? I shared a simple recipe for easy peasy #guacamole on my IG stories..........I’ll post it below. How do you like your avocados? 😋 Ingredients: 2-3 Hass avocados (imho the best kind of avo! ) 1/4 red onion finely chopped 1/4 jalapeño pepper (you can omit if spice ain’t your thang ) 1/4 cup cilantro 1/4 tsp Himalayan salt 1/4 tsp cumin powder 1/2-1 lime juiced Peel avocados and mash with fork. Add onions, peppers, and cilantro. Add salt, cumin powder, lime juice. Mix well. Eat alone or with your fingers, tortilla chips, whatever floats your boat! Enjoy!
