#TheSimpleThings - lockdown makes me think about and appreciate those little things. Taking a second to reflect on those everyday things. Those human interactions, those group activities, whether that’s a group training session or a few pints at the pub, when this is over will we continue to appreciate each other??

Stay Healthy At Home I saw @itsdannywilliams post this morning and his tips rang so true. The little things to implement into your routine to help you feel motivated and productive. These are a few examples that really help me. 🗒 To Do List - I’ve been planning my days. Just vaguely to give myself some structure. Who I need to email, text, call. Those tasks I need to complete. Order X, Fix Y or Sort Z etc etc. Give yourself those little task to complete. Once you’re done embrace the little win 💧Drink Plenty of Water - there are many apps to help you consciously consume enough water. Being mindful about your water intake is important, I’m pretty certain that you’ll be drinking less than you think you are. I would recommend everyone to drink at least 2litres per day of water. Tea, coffee, fruit juice on top are a bonus. Also alcohol gives you MINUS points 🙃 🏃🏻Increase your Heart Rate for 20 mins per day - Get up, get a sweat on, get the blood pumping. Physical exercise even at low intensities has many benefits including helping to improve judgement, thinking and learning capabilities. ☀️ Get Outside - Natural light, even on a cloudy day can help improve mood, improve sleep, increase levels of Vit D. Vit D is important for bone health, the absorption of other essential vitamins and minerals and it helps reduce the risk of heart diseases, depression, WEIGHT GAIN and various cancers. 🤳 Be Present, Put Down The Device - Focus on what you’re doing when you’re doing it. Be conscious of constantly picking up your phone as a habit and for no particular reason. It’s crazy how much you’ll pick it up for no reason just as a of bad habit. We do it subconsciously, or at least I did until I started to become aware of it and stop myself. Think before you react on that impulse. Making the first thing you do on a morning something other than reaching for your device. Stay off Insta, TikTok, the news etc until you’ve had a wee, some water, a coffee, a shower or a stretch. Give yourself 30 mins on a morning and 30 mins before bed device and blue light free. These helped me. I’m sure they will help you.
